Will be going up for Queens Birthday weekend and plan on spending a day with a mate up there checking out breweries.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Would like to try Semi-Pro (very close) and Soapbox, and my friend suggested Catchment.
We love Stouts too - anyone do good stouts, or is it a bit too hot to bother?

Kangaroo Point is central and easy PT to others around you. You can catch a ferry to Bulimba and visit Revel. There are 3 x breweries all in walking distance from each other in Newstead - Newstead, Green Beacon and Range Brewing which may be available Have never visited Catchment - however just down the road is Brisbane Brew Co if you do head that direction.

Sea legs is pretty much at Kangaroo point on your side of the river too. Maybe a couple there then walk over the bridge to Semi pro.
I did a bit of a pub crawl for my birthday last year, Lunch at the Norman (love their steaks), then to sea legs, across to semi pro, headed to Green Beacon, then Finished at Newstead. Twas a big day.

Did you walk between the places? Seems like it's *almost* doable but not quite

Nah we walked form Sea legs to Felons (I said Semi pro? I meant Felons). Than Ubered it from there, the plan was to ride lime scooters to each one, but we couldn't get enough of them for the whole crew. Probably ended up being for the best we were pretty steaming by the time we got to Newstead.

you could do semi pro then a half hour walk to sea legs over the bridge to felons then up the lift and down the road to soapbox - there is a great stout on tap at soapbox at the moment! from there uber down to green beacon - i think you can get a ferry back over to Bulimba to visit Revel. Tipplers Tap in James street new farm is great value too. They don't brew but have about a dozen local frothys on tap and other in bottles.

If you start at sea legs then felons is walking distance over the story bridge. Then get the boat out to Bulimba ferry terminal and very short walk to Revel. Back to the ferry and over the river to Teneriffe and a short walk each to Green Beacon, then Newstead, then Range. From that point you'll be ubering, I'd suggest to West end for Brisbane brewing co and a couple of doors up to catchment. Ten minute walk or three minute bus ride to ballistic, or just hang around West end/South Brisbane for some great craft beer bars - Archive, wandering cooks, saccharomyces to name a few all within sorry walking distance of BBC/catchment.

Bookmarking this one and watching with interest.
Heading up to Brisbane for a week of work with a like-minded colleague in August. We'll be staying in the CBD and won't have a car, but willing to walk for beer (on the way at least).

Turns out an inner city Brisbane brewery tour is really a citycat / ferry friendly journey!

Also from other beer enjoyers, Felons is fairly disappointing from the beer perspective, but I rate soap box and sea legs, recently did a mini crawl from sea legs, over the bridge to soap box and then to netherworld. If you are around eagle street pier, there is an awesome place for beers, malt traders, it is a bottle shop that has an insane selection and you can drink on premise. I've heard range is spectacular, though newstead doesn't seem to tickle my fancy as much anymore. But green beacon is still really solid. So hitting up newstead/tenneriffe is going to be a winner.
If you end up in the milton area, which also has a ferry terminal, you have scratch bar, which has pretty great beers routinely on tap, mongrel which has decent food though limited selection, aether brewing with a range of beers normally a bit out there, and then newstead a short walk from there which has a nice venue, and as I said okay beers just don't seem to agree with em.

Does anyone know if any breweries will be showing the NBA tomorrow, and are open at 11am?
Failing that, know any regular bars that will?
