Beers I liked 2.0 LAst one is a Bentspoke IPA that they had on during the colder months. If I recall I don't think it was carbonated.

Not a brag by any stretch, but this is my go-to when only access is a standard bottle shop - & it's nice and cold!

These blokes do a real good drop. Lovely on a muggy arvo....or even a wintry morn.

Last one of four that I got off my kids for Christmas. After a few of my own it may have gone to my head. It's 11%. It was fucking delicious. Especially after painting all day in the sun.

Drinking an old favourite, I really love the balance of coffee in this prominent but not dominant.

There was some speculation (especially by myself) regarding what it might mean when Beer Deluxe was bought out.
Sure they have their unpasteurized CUB but the fridge is still king at Fed Square in Melbourne from what I have seen.
It might be exxxy but they have killer beers still.

That’s quite a glass you have there, must be interesting to drink from.

My daughter was a bit freaked by them and wanted to witness me drinking from them. Turns out the top is just a circle like every other glass. A bit freaky looking though.

That it is! I was mentally going through the mechanics of drinking out of it myself.

Ya'll know what Corona looks like. I was given a couple of slabs and well, I'm not wasting beer. (Except the Extra Dry, that I literally couldn't give away) Well, its 38 deg here, I'm watching the kids in the pool, and I must admit, I've had worse beer experiences than jamming a wedge of lemon into the neck of an icy cold cerveza. 22 years ago, in Western NSW ( yes I'm talking Past Penrith), TEDs were the Boutique Beer - as opposed to Tooheys New. Me and the boys smashed enough one summer to lay the bottles on the side and half cover the wall of the kitchen of his rental. Until someone knocked them over doing a burnout on the kitchen Lino on a dirt bike . Anyway, shit beer now..

Just had an Exit IPA that almost killed me. Shit was horribly tainted.

I've had IPAs with less flavour than this. Strong bitter, decent maltiness.

Funny story behind this one. I'd just poured out close to 3lt of HB because it had this intense flavour I coulnd't explain that just hurt. Then I tried this and it had exactly the same flavour. Then I realised, what I'd been tasting was a reaction between the alcohol and the new anti-hayfever nasal spray that had gone down the back of my throat. Wasted a whoooooole bunch of very average home brew. So, TL:DR - I have no idea how this beer soup tastes.

These boozes come from one of my fav brew houses in Sydney - their venue in Camperdown is pretty decent as well: Def one of the best IPAs I've had Def THE best porter I've had (anything with skulls on it is good)

Having the Young Henry’s seasonal hop ale. Like the winter ale they did, it was very thin. Had no malt balance at all, which is a pity because it’s an otherwise nice beer. A few percent crystal or something like aurora would have taken this beer a million miles.

I'm yet to have a YH beer that I'd pay for.
They are all too average, unadventurous and seem like they've been made for people who live in fear of being offended.

Slowboat brewery in Beijing: Beetroot sour. Not particularly sour but an awesome beer, with earthy beetroot flavour over a clean tart beer.

Nice, I missed the boat on the breweries in the Jing, there were none there in my time. Where abouts is that one and what's the price of a standard pint of Pale Ale/IPA? The Tree in at Sanlitun Jiu Bar Jie was the only place that sold interesting beers and they were just the standard Belgium fair.
Friend of mine and I looked at opening one but couldn't work out how to reliably and affordably source usable water. Guess they figured that one out.

We went with the kids. On some days it's 25 kuai for a pint. This one is at sanlitun but there's a bunch of breweries here now. Jing A do a winter flight of 4 schooners for 70 kuai.
